On Saturday 27th September 2025 East Herts Gamers are proud to host a special Charity Games Day in support of MIND, the mental health charity. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just curious, there's something for everyone - board games, RPGs, party games, and more - all in the name of a great cause.

A Fun Filled Day of Gaming

On Saturday the 27th of September we’ll be opening the doors at Leaside Church, Ware (SG12 9BG) at 2:00pm for a day of gaming fun. Expect a welcoming, friendly environment with tables packed full of board games, card games and multiple roleplaying game sessions.

Volunteers will be on hand to run games and help match players of all experience levels. Drop in for an hour or stay for the whole day - but whatever you do DON'T MISS the Epic Charity Raffle with dozens of premium prizes to be won.

Roleplaying Games

We have two rooms for roleplaying and will be running Call of Cthulhu, Daggerheart and Imperium Maledictum. With four sessions in total be sure to reserve your space at the table.

Board Games

Hosted games of Blood on the Clocktower, Cthulhu Death May Die and Ticket to Ride will run throughout the day. 

Card Games

Learn to play Trading Card Game Disney's Lorcana

Open Gaming

There are over a dozen tables available for use, bring your own games and host a session or join in with others.

Bake Sale

Home made cakes and biscuits and will be available for purchase throughout the day.

Epic Charity Raffle

You do not want to miss this! At 6pm we'll be a running raffle featuring more than 50 premium prizes. Tickets are £2 per strip, 3 strips for £5.

  • Upon payment you will then receive a PDF ticket directly to your email address. Please note this is not an automated process, please allow 24 hours for tickets to be sent. 

  • With your ticket you will receive a link to book a seat at a hosted games table (places are limited.)

  • Please not that paying for entrance does not guarantee you a place at a hosted games table.

  • Proceeds: All profits from ticket sales will be donated to Mind (Registered Charity No. 219830).
     

  • Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee a seat at a hosted games table.
     

  • Supervision & Age Guidance: This is a family-friendly event, but some games may feature mature themes, violence, or horror elements. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.Parents and guardians are encouraged to check the content of games before play.
     

  • Code of Conduct: East Herts Gamers promotes a welcoming, inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
    We reserve the right to ask individuals to leave the event if their behaviour is inappropriate or unsafe.
     

  • Personal Property: Attendees are responsible for their own belongings. East Herts Gamers and Leaside Church cannot accept liability for lost or stolen items.
     

  • Photographs & Social Media: Photos and videos may be taken for promotional purposes. Please inform a member of the team on the day if you prefer not to appear in any media.
     

  • Refund Policy:
    As this is a charity fundraiser, all ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.
